Crib Blanket

I accidentally came across this fleece blanket kit on sale at Joann's so I decided my soon to be grandson needed that since this will match his room. Fleece was a great deal, but then, of course, I needed to buy that fancy Edge Stitch rotary cutter to make the holes for the crocheted edge I decided to put on it (FYI, I don't crochet) and some yarn to snazz it up and the fleece blanket wasn't such a great deal after all!!!
It's a nice big crib sized blanket.

Thanks!
I actually bought a different one at Joann's but it was not good. The holes were too close together, the one in the link is perfect. It had some cute ideas on ways to use in a little booklet that came with it. I'm sure I will use it again.

Love the balnket and the rotary cutter. It is a must have. I will have to see if they are availabe here in Australia. Would Dennis count these as scissors?

I live in Australia pretty sure I have seen them at "Spotlight" just never new what they would be used for.
by graceandham 06 Apr 2014
Yes, I'm afraid it counts, just like pinking shears count. Still a cutting device.

I don't understand this conversation. Is there some limit in Australia on scissors??
by jrob 07 Apr 2014
It's a running joke about how many scissors some of us own.

Looks really well finished.I crochet an edge around plisse blankets.Once though, when I was piercing the hole for my crochet, because I had hemmed the edge first turning a double 1/4 in seam/hem,I stuck the crochet hook through the hem and my finger! OUCH! Like getting a fish hook in you. I now have an awl I go around the hemmed edge with, making my holes,a few at a time, crochet up to that, them make some more.So much easier and a lot less painful-lol

I just found my dotted line blade! Is that single crochet? I can do that, for a little while. I hope. Time to do a fleece blankkie! I have a Christmas fleece I have been meaning to finish! Now it will be easy Thank you!

My crochet skills are somewhat lacking but I think it's a single crochet stitch!

wow I never knew there was a dotted line blade that must make it so much easier! Your blanket may end up being the one he hangs on to everyday so well worth it! & either way it is so very sweet I would have bought it too! ~hugs~
