With Spring finally here, we are in the midst of a Kitchen renovation. While packing up the cupboards I was quite surprised to see just what an abundance of plastic ware I really have! I decided it was as good a time as any to get rid of as much as I could. Not as easy as it sounds.............what do you keep & how much do you keep? I pondered this for a day & decided to make a keep pile & a throw away pile & after seeing the size of my keep pile (bigger then my throw away) I knew I had to come up with a better way to get rid of some. So I thought well if I haven't used it in a year it goes. In the end I threw out (Goodwill) 2 big garbage bags full! Plus some with out lids went into the recycle bucket! It is rather like purging & quite freeing too. I know that we are just barely starting this project & it will be trying at times but I think I have made a very good start. As long as I didn't pack away anything that we will actually need in the month & a half I think I will be ok. but check back in a couple weeks with a progress report & we'll see how well I am holding up? LOL Any tips would be appreciated. ~hugs & *** ~

Kudos to you for purging. It's amazing how well you can live with a couple of pots and pans, wooden spoons and knives. I hope the renovation goes according to plan and you get to enjoy some wonderful restaurant meals too.

I've decided that plastic containers are like rabbits. Put two together and they multiply!

Wine and lots of it! We just finished redoing walkways, adding a sprinkler and new grass. Needless to say it was a very muddy/dusty project for quite a while. Good luck on the month and a half time line (haha). Hugs. Nan W
