I've started using an e-reader instead of "real" books. Now on vacation when I go to the pool, I need a place to put my room key and a little cash. I also wanted a place to carry the cord. I messed up some of the applique on the petals and had to go over it with the sewing machine. Do you think I should add the red button to the outside flower or not? The font for the monogram is from Embroitique, see link below.

A very well thought out piece! Where ever did you find such a terrific pattern for this?
by gwillmann 23 Apr 2014
Thanks. The inspiration came from Moda Bake Shop. They have free patterns. Search for "Bookkeeper". The rest is my design, I just added as I went along.

Very cute, I love your fabric choices! I like it both ways, beautiful! Is your case in the hoop or sewing pattern? It looks like a kindle 3 which is what I have. It is great to carry, I read it at lunch at work or riding along in the car, excellent device!

Love it! Well done. My preference is to leave it without button, as there are so many colours already, it's beautiful as it is.

Love the colours and would like to try and make one. What is the width of the strips?. Have quite a few left at 2 and a half inch and wonder if I could use them. Thanks for showing
1 comment
by gwillmann 24 Apr 2014
Thanks. You can use any width you like. The original pattern uses 1.5 inch strips but mine vary a little between 1.25 and 1.5 inches.
