I don't care what she has as long as it's healthy and as happy as the parents to be.

Wow, how awesome! Our children have no idea the blessings they give us through our grandchildren! I told my daughter when my DGS was born, NOW you know how much I love you.;)

My sympathies. But you will get used to the name. She will probably called Dix.
by cutiepie 16 Jun 2008
Ooh . . . my sister named her dog Dixie. Well, there isn't any rule that says you will have to actually call your little GD "Dixie" if you don't want to. Will she have a middle name? Or you can call her . . . "cutiepie!" (I give permission to use "my" name.) There are bound to be tons of nicknames you can use if you really don't care for Dixie as a name. I am "ignoring" my twins middle names because I don't like them much, but my husband wanted them to have his grandfathers' middle names for their middle names. Whatever. =]

Congratulations! Blessings to all of you! There is that little saying that goes something like - if I had known having grandchildren would be so much fun, I would have had them first! :-)

Thanks everyone! I can't tell you how excited I am. We think the baby will be here in Feb. She says she isn't going to find out the sex until it's born. I was so excited last night I couldn't sleep. Now all I have to do is work on DH to move closer when he retires. So far the name list is Joshua or Rhianna. I think they have no idea how often the names will change over the next 8 months. Good thing I started my Christmas emb. last month. I'm soooo ready to start on baby things. *'s for all.

Feb.? Good month. Some of the best people were born in Feb.hehehe! It adds to the excitement not knowing the sex of the baby, I think, and when it boils down to it, it does not really matter providing it is healthy.

Feb. would be a great month. My Mom was born in Feb. I guess you were too. Maybe we should start a delivery day pool. LOL

Congrats! I'm happy to hear that she changed her mind about having kids, and I hope she has/will change her mind about getting married. I don't care what anyone else might say: it is much better to have a husband than a boyfriend when one has a child. I don't understand why people choose to wait until the baby is born to find out the sex, but to each their own. =] I know I wasn't able to wait, and that it was good for me to find out. (I actually had to "mourn" the girl I *thought* I was having when it turned out I was having my oldest son. It would have been even harder post-partum.)

In her case the baby wasn't planned. If they choose to marry or not is up to them. As long as they are happy and love each other, the new baby and big brother Jake I'm good.

Congratulations and I know how excited you must be. Just think of all of the darling little things that you can do - and how much fun you are going to have both prior to the birth, and especially after.
