Dear Cuties, We could really use your help. We have some users posting in Projects that do not have permission to advertise or give their links here on Cute. They are trying to be good…They must have permission before they can give you a link or even claim a design. Too many people are using this site as free advertising and we are trying to stop that trend.

Please take the time to re-read the Terms and Conditions of this site. Make sure you see the bit about advertising. There are a few that DO have permission. (No, we will not be giving out a list – do not ask.) Please just try to be respectful and remember that this site is a site designed and paid for by Veronika to sell Veronika’s designs. She has been very kind to let us have the freebie section as well as any of the other sections. Please do NOT ask for or about the origin of the design stitched out -- if it is not given.
If you must ask -- then do it in a PM please.
Thanks for your help.

Will do and I hope I don't forget.Lol-It seems natural, to want to know where a design is from if it is especially good.

Yes, I know it seems silly. However, some people (not regular users -- new members) think that this site is for advertising. We just need to change that perception.

Thank you for catching this. I wondered on a few but felt it wasn't my place to question it and we like to think that most have the sense to understand the rules or at least pm the moderators and ask. Hugs..Carol

Thanks Carol. In the future -- if you wonder -- send a PM to all the moderators. One of us is usually here. Sometimes we do this from a phone or tablet. It is easy for me to see I have a PM on my phone. It is much harder to search the entire site. So your help is very much appreciated.
Hugs

Suits me fine as sometimes I forgot where the design came from. when I open and work on a design for some time I always " park" it in a folder " ready to machine 2014". Therefor , I am clueless as to where I purchased it. I do see your point as to posting a link. Kay

I know a few Cuties that will not post in Projects out of fear. They have seen many people insist on the location. I have recently seen some demanding the design...
Not all of us remember where we get a design... Sometimes I feel lucky to remember where I parked my car. LOL

LOL...that's why I try to always park in about the same area each time.

Speaking of parking...I parked , did my shopping, came out and looked all over the parking lot for my car. After wondering who would want to steal my older Toyota and starting to really panic, I realized. I had gone shopping in my husbands new truck!-lol-Toogie

So, in Projects, we are allowed to post where a design came from - as long as that design is legal and that design is not our own design that we are trying to sell!!! There are some Cuties on this site that Ms Veronika has given them permission to do this on very legal designs. We are sooooooo lucky to have this site to get help and give help to one another and to share and to care for each other. It is just good common sense!! Thanks, Rescuer - you are a gem!! Laura

Thank you -- for this.
Sometimes I forget to add in words -- what my mind is thinking.
It may have to do with my day yesterday. I helped teach at my children's school, finished an order for pincushions, helped moderate the site and answered more than 30 PM's. Helped my children with homework, cleaned the house....
Yes, absolutely, you are welcome to add the information if you know (for sure) where it came from and you are sure the source is a legal source.
I am only trying to help keep the ones that do not have permission to advertise out of trouble and keep this site out of trouble.

I'm a little bit confused (maybe of the language barrier): If I post something in projects I should not give the information where I bought it as long as it is from Miss V? And don't give a link to other shops?
So I'm guilty cause I added a link to a project with a design from UT yesterday :o(
To be save I think I will not posting my projects anylonger...
Greetings, Bettina

No, sorry sweet friend. I will try to make it better for language issues.
You are not guilty.
Post the name and link if the design is legal.
Post name and link if it is a design from this site or sister site.
Do not post if link is advertisement for your own website without Veronika's permission. So if Bettina sells designs do not post a link to your site.
If no link is posted do not ask for it.

Thank you for all the work you do for us. I haven't posted yet because of time constraints. I hope to do so in the future. To clarify a point for this old brain of mine. Should we send a PM to the moderators first and then post or send the entire post to the moderator and when it is approved then post?

ONLY if you are selling something or posting illegal Disney designs. Then, we will politely tell you no.
If you need to know where a design came from (that someone stitched out)...if it is not listed on the post -- do not ask unless you send *them* a PM for information about their stitched design

Please forgive me for my mistakes on this site, I know I am guilty of asking where a design is from when I see it and like it. I will refrain from doing so except in a PM as you suggested. I did look at these, however I guess I don't understand a lot of this sort of thing. Thank you for educating me and letting me learn another new thing today. :) Leaha

Sadly, this is a new restriction. You did nothing wrong. You could not have known that some users did not have permission. We are working on a better way to help all users understand the rules.
The problem is the recent influx of other new users that only want to advertise. They see pages of ads in Projects -- so they jump in. As soon as they do we remove the posts. That has become a greater challenge -- requiring more time from each of us than we should spend.
The handful that have permission... support this site, post less frequently and are very supportive to this site. They are professional digitizers with a track record of beautiful work that shows their skills and artistic ability.
We have had a huge influx of many new users that only want the "free advertising" Some come with auto-digitized designs. A few have tried to sell designs (on their site -- to Cuties) created by someone else. We have to make that stop.
I wish I could post more eloquently -- so that it is less confusing. I will work on that -- after I get some sleep tonight.

What you have explained is good. It makes logical sense also, one I had not thought of. :)
Thanks again for all the work you do.

I really appreciate for all the support Ms Veronika give to us. I try to support her as well, and put a link of Cute embroidery on my website.
Thank you Rescuer for being so supportive, and thanks to Ms Veronika for her beautiful heart. Love and hugs, Yoriko
