Every day is mother's day thru out the world. If one has given birth or adopted a child they should be celebrated. Happy mother's day to one and all. With out birth and adoption we would cease to exist. So, all you young folks go forth and multiply. Hugs Mumzyfarm

Happy Mother's Day to all of you sweet women, no matter what country, no matter if you don't have biological children. I know that you have mothered a child or an animal at some point and that qualifies, too! There are even some dads that I know that deserve special treatment on Mother's Day because they have had to be both parents.

Mother's Day in the US is celebrating 100 years today! It was made a national holiday in 1914. The first recognition of Mother's Day in the US was in Grafton, West Virginia in 1908, and continued to be promoted until it became a national holiday.

In Belgium we have a mixed enviroment. Almost everybody celebrates it today, while in Antwerp (where I live) we celebrate it on 15th of August.
