I didn't, I sewed it out on Aida Cloth, tricky lining up the rows...I wish I hadn't used the mat as the cloth is so nice...

I had looked at this design on SF Emb, and thought it was very nice. But you have done something exceptional by adding the feathers and frame...this really dresses up a humble mug rug. Plus you have passed on another great idea for the rest of us to mull over. Thank you for sharing :) Leaha

thank you so much Leaha-the feathering shown white on the design but I think the blue is better because you can see,,,not so with the white.
