Malvern quilt show

I have spent a great day at the Malvern quilt show and just when you think that you have seen them all another one comes along that proves just how very artistic some of the quilters are.
The collection on show were just out of this world and so inspiring to. i needed some plain colors to do the mini mosaic quilt by Paula Doyle and got a great buy from the very first stall i went to Just £1.50 for a fat quarter and in all the colors i wanted to plus 10% discount f you purchased over 6 of them.
I went to one of the workshops and made a nice little makeup kind of pouch and this evening i was wondering just what i could use it for when i realised i needed something to put my travel iron into and yep it fitted into that little bag just right.
If you remember the other week i won an Elna lotus vintage sewing machine for just £52.00 Well my friend in London said that she would love to get one but can never find the time to look on Ebay. Well I saw one and put a bid in for it and i managed to get it for just £56.00. I phoned her up on the night time and asked her if she would still love to own one of these wonderful machines and she said she would so i asked her if she would pay £56.00 plus postage for one. I then told her i had won it on E bay and she cried with pure joy at being able to get it and at such a great price too.
Now we have never met and only started to e,mail one another last November but she has been there for me all through the dark days when my husband was ill and then his death in January. She has supported me when i have cried and laughed with me when i remembered the good times. She has sent me little gifts and shared photos of her kittens and now i can get to meet her and hand over her new machine. I will travel 60 miles to a town that is holding a local quilt show and she will do the same so we can share the day together.
I look forward to seeing her and seeing her face to face.
