For all who know and love hightechgrammy: I'm sorry to report that Jan's son, Ben, left this earth last night to be with his Heavenly Father.
Ben touched the lives and hearts of many in this world. I will miss him greatly. But I'm trusting that memories will get me through the sad times.
I'll smile whenever I hear or sing "It's A Small World", "When I'm 64" or "Yellow Submarine"

God be with her. A woman or a man who loose their spouse is called a widow. A child who loses his/her parent is called an orphan, but there is no word for a mother who loses her child because it must be an unspeakable grief so great that it can't be named. I pray that God's grace and love carry her through this earthly farewell. Ben is happy, healthy, whole and singing ~ I hope he's doing a duet with John Lennon! Only just found out about this on our sewing forum from Grace - I'm absolutely heartbroken for Jan and the rest of the family. I also pray that our love for Jan can be felt through all the messages of love and support which she will receive. As Jerrilyn has written - nothing can heal the pain of losing your child. Jan has been such a tower of strength and I've gotten to know a lot about her over the last 4-5 years. Her love for her fellow man and her deep faith is tangible. Of course her great care and support for Ben and the Kool Kids goes without saying. Ben will be dancing in heaven and singing the Rainbow collection and Beatles songs he knew.
