Parents are on the way to ER with Avery,she is having trouble breathing.Please stop a minute and say a prayer.......I noticed when I had her on the bus this morning, her breathing got labored.I asked her teacher and aides to pay special attention because of this.They took her to the school nurse and the nurse called the parents,so now they are in the ER.They are all having allergy problems,it's the time of year.I got up yesterday with bad sore throat.I figured because I had cried so much about Ben/Jan, it has opened up my sinuses and I have drainage at the back of my throat, so now it's sore...Avery can't do productive coughs,to help herself and she has trouble swallowing.I hope it hasn't turned into pneumonia again....I know how supportive/prayer warriors, Cuties are is why I am asking.Don't mean to burden anyone,though,but our baby girl needs us right now.Thank you,I'll update when I know something-Toogie....only quick photo I could find for those who don't know Avery,she is 8yrs old...1 st UPDATE-still in Er-They have her on oxygen and gave her a breathing treatment,blood test,etc...so we continue to pray and wait.Will keep updating as things progress.TY ----UPDATE-there is none.I am now back from my evening route and they are still in the ER on oxygen.I don't know if they are waiting for a room to admit her or if they are just waiting for her breathing to improve.IDK but I will let you know when I do.TY----UPDATE- Without oxygen,her breathing is too laored, so they admitted her in hospital for overnight, and we will see how she is tomorrow.This is coming from Pops,mom is busy with Avery,as soon as she can call me,I may know more details.I do know she seemed to me to have a lot of upper congestion,so it may not be in her lungs.She maybe struggling to breathe out of her mouth because her nose is stuffy.It is hard to breathe through the mouth, because she has so much uncontroable siliva.Well,I'm explaining too much,I guess.It is good just to know that she is being taken care of, so hopefully she will be okay.If I hear any different I'll do another update,so you just have to read the last part of this.Thank you again for praying for my girl!UPDATE-Thursday morning-Avery had a rough night.She was able to get rid of a lot of mucus by throwing up,this is her only way,b/c her coughs are unproductive,as I mentioned earlier.They have her on IV antibotics, b/c they did see something in the upper part, of one of her lungs.Mom said she moaned a lot in her sleep.The pediatrician asked, and also the supervior of nurses from surgery came in and asked, if we had oxygen and suction at home.My daughter said no.She had wanted it b/c of the last time, but it has to be prescribed by a physician, and they didn't want to order it for her.They say you have to know how to use the suction without damaging her throat.Well,my daughter has had medical training and is a licensed physical threapist, and my SIL and myself, are teachable.I would rather take a chance of scratching her throat,than her choke to death on her phlem.Anyway,maybe now they will order this for home.-, even if we have to take training.I'm not going to ram it down her throat! That's what's going on.At least she was able to get some out, so maybe she can start improving.....Things are hectic.We have Mason and am sending him to school,practice yesterday,game tonight! I have Lanie graduating tomorrow,just finished pressing her cap & gown.Nora, thank goodness,is between the sitter and other grandparents,and they are older than us! She's a little harder to keep since she can crawl around so fast!-lol-Dr said Avery may be there a few days,we will see. The last photo looks like she is feeling much better! (I don't know when she will get her 4 front teeth,we thought she would have had them for christmas,5 months ago,maybe it will be this christmas!-lol)She's so precious, don't even look sick.Thanks again you wonderful group!God is good and we are thankful-Toogie -THURSDAY NIGHT- Avery is getting better.This is about Avery's mom,my youngest daughter.She left the hopital, with her husband there with Avery, to come home for items and to see Nora and Mason,her other children......And to come see me and her dad, for a good cry.Ashley is exhausted, more from the stress than anything.They have Avery on steroids and breathing treatments,every 2 hours, so Avery is wired/hyper,so to speak and Ashley has had no relief.I took off work tomorrow evening, and after Lanie's graduation in the morning, I will go relieve her.It used to be just Ashley and myself to stay the duration in the hospitals,with Avery.My husband would keep Mason.Now, it takes all of us and now we have Nora,too.It will all work out,but she just needed mom (me) to hold her and let her get it out, with a good cry.It's not our first go 'round and I'm sure it's not our last....I remember,the drs said if Avery didn't have seizures in the first year,she probally wouldn't have them.It is like holding your breath waiting for the year to be over.When she was 11 months,they started.The kind she had then,they had said without the medication,would cause further brain cell loss.When Ashley called,I got off the school bus that evening and got in my car heading to their house.My husband wasn't even home and had no idea what had even happened.Ashley lived about 2 hours away then and it gets dark early that time of the year.All the way to her house,I kept worrying that Avery wouldn't recognize my voice,she wouldn't know me.When I got to Ashley's house,she was suprised to see me.You see,I hadn't let her know I was coming and had left a note at home for her dad why I had left.The first thing she said was,"Mom why are you here by yourself,you don't even drive at night?"-I of course loved on Avery and she did know me! Held her till she went to sleep.Then laid down with Ashley & held her till 3am, both of us crying.I then drove the 2 hour drive back that morning to make my morning bus route.Thank goodness I am not the driver,I'm the attendant.Needless to say,when I got home at 8am I went to bed and slept untill time for the evening route.....We uplift each other, when we need that shoulder to cry on, and that's what happened tonight.So if you don't mind keep Ashley in your prayers, along with Avery.She's just kind of low tonight.Thanks again Cuties-Toogie
