I know we all love our grand kids and we all think they are the best, so forgive me for thinking my grandaughter is wonderful but she really is. She is a ballet dancer and has done some wonderful stage work in ballets of all kinds and now she has won a place in the musical Cats ( Andrew Lloyd webber show). She is now walking round like the cat that got the cream.

Well,I don't blame her! It is such and honor and such a reward for all her hard work! She is beautiful too,I can see why you are so proud.I wanted to take ballet when I was a child and my mother would have liked me to.We had to answer to a man that was hard working, but thought that all this was nonsense,so I never got to...I am so proud for her,I could burst!

We only sent her to ballet class because she was so shy and really needed to mix with other children and that was when she was 3. Never thought we would still be taking her here there and everywhere 11 years later.

Oh! how wonderful Sue and you have every right to be proud. What a great achievement on your grand-daughter's part. Lots of dedication and hard work goes into being a ballet dancer. Our Dana's little girls are going to dance classes, but I don't think they'll ever be Ballerinas. Love Chris

Thank you, she has a sister who who would never make a dancer if she lived to be a hundred but she has other talents and I love her to bits too.

I think the hardest part was when she went on points, I spent hours darning the toes of her point shoes and those blasted ribbons were a right pain to stitch inside the slippers lol

Yes, the first time she was on stage it was in Peter Pan the ballet, at the liverpool empire theatre she informed us all that it was customary for the dancers to receive flowers and gifts on the 1st night and so therefore we should leave such at the stage door for her !!! What a little diva.

You have every right to be proud. My cousins daughter was in the very first production of Cats in London, so I know what a huge achievement this is. Both my mother and aunt were dancers and my mother was secretary at the Royal Ballet School (White Lodge) for many years. It makes my heart sing just looking at your beautiful grand daughter. Hugs Sarah.

Wow, what an honour for her to be chosen to appear in Cats at 14years old!!. It's a real fun show, she will absolutely enjoy it.. I know all about the trials and tribulations of ballet dancing. I to have been trained and still dance to this day. (ps I'm in my mid 50's!!) Once it is in your blood you can never get away from it. I presume she takes Modern and/or Jazz too - Classical Ballet is so technical and doing other fun types of dance allows one to grow in confidence and develop a greater stage personality. Loud clapping from me to both of you!

Yes, she does modern and dances everyday in either her classes or private lessons. The first time she got her points I have never seen anyone so excited about a pair of pink slippers in my life and then when she was told she should go to bed in them to mould them to her feet well I can't tell you she was just beside herself with joy lo
