My cousin's 18 year old has the genetic version, and short gut syndrome. He is a true expression of emotions.

Yvonne, as you can see from my avatar picture, that my oldest daughter, Cindy has Down Syndrone. I am blessed that she is only mildly mentally disabled. She is involved in many local and state Special Olympic activities, so I stay busy running, as her "chauffeur"!! LOL
Your granddaughter and her friend seem to be having fun. She's a cute young lady! Thanks for sharing the picture!
Hugs, Angel

As you well know; just because she and lots of other have Downs they are still people too and some of the best. they don't get encumbered by the rest of the world. Beautiful picture, thank you for sharing. :)

Thank you for sharing the picture! I know it's rewarding working with this group of "kids" as we had a Girl Scout troop from the school for the handicaped when my daughter was in GS..(she's 44 now!) The troop would join my daughter's troop for many things, including camping! I really belief that's why my daughter now works in the job she does...she developed a love for special people while working with a troop of special Girl Scouts!!
