Update on the kitchen reno: Sigh.............they came on Tuesday they made a few mistakes that we were not happy about so we called on Wednesday & they came out right away. since the cupboard doors & drawers were going to get put on we thought it prudent they come first since the need for corrections would make it easier to do without them on. They are going to fix all our complaints but that means they must make a couple new pcs & that takes more time..................so we have a partial kitchen with no counters or doors & drawers sigh.................. But the good news is all of our appliances have come & they are all terrific & not a scratch on any! It did take well over an hour to get them into the house but they are here now. A gap on the left of the window but none on the right of the same window, they have overlapped the window frame (we need new windows in the future so how would we get this off?) & you might be able to see that they have extended it past the bulk head? does not look good. One cupboard side is white? The other side is half done & quite a messy job to stain it like that? They said it would be hidden by the microwave & I said uhuh I want it all the same I did not order any white so I am not keeping any white. That one was a bit f a sore point but he agreed in the end. So because of their mistakes we wait again...............

It will all be worth the wait and frustration. I hope they don't make more mistakes. Can't wait to see the end results. Glad all the appliances arrived safely as well.

apparently it's the nature of the beast. Everyone I know who has done this has run into problems.

thanks Jerrilyn I know this may sound weird but I appreciate hearing that we are not the only one who has had issues & more issues with this sort of thing. I honestly thought if we left it to the professionals it would be so much easier & faster. Even with Hubby's busy schedule I think he could have done better himself. ~hugs~

I know, I had the same thoughts. One of my cabinet doors is still backward. The guy left to get it fixed and that was 3 years ago. We couldn't find him and I finally gave up.

The end of the project is near, Just think of how happy you'll be when it's done. They say patience is a virtue, But when your kitchen isn't working it's a miracle. Hang in there.

You have every right to complain Loralye. You are paying for workmanship and for a decent kitchen soyou stick to your guns. I wouldn't be happy with some of this work just from looking at the pictures. I do hope it will all get settled in the end. We had our kitchen renovated 4 years ago and never had one issue with our company, we were very pleased with them. We had walls knocked down and doorways widened etc. As it was from scratch I designed it how I wanted it and it's a galley style. Love Chris

I will try my very best! You have inspired me to get what I really want! I have just discovered that they created half of a drawer? Half of a drawer instead of a full on length drawer? I was not happy about this discovery @ all! They are going to find out how crabby I can try to be for sure!

You are right to insist on them fixing all errors. One spends so much time in a kitchen, you must love the way your kitchen looks and not every time you get there see something that irritates you.

I feel when you go into your kitchen, you must think how nice it looks. Even years from now!

Best of luck with the patience part...

Can't wait to see the finished product. I'm glad you are happy with your appliances!
