I'm sorry, but I almost forgot to thank all my wonderful Cute sisters who sent Birthday wishes my way on June 1st! I've never had so many people wish me a Happy Birthday as there was this year, my 60th! I remember I used to think 60 was old but it doesn't feel older than I felt at 20. I still laugh, love, cry, smile and feel like I did years ago but nowadays the body has more scars, wrinkles and saggy parts than I did then. I like to think of this as another new chapter to my book of living. I have Maurice and my grown sons and a daughter-in-law and two perfect-to-me grandsons. My babies have all flown the coop to various places and now we are thinking of doing things just for us! 60 is going to be a scary adventure, a chapter where we come first but not selfishly, a time to do the things we enjoy with each other and still maintain our seperate passions. Yes, a scary adventure! I like that!

As Francis Bacon said "Age appears best in four things: old wood to burn, old wine to drink, old friends to trust and old authors to read".
So in my mind, grab a good book to read, invite a friend over and sit in front of the fire with a good glass of red (or white) and enjoy life!
