Oh my goodness....I now know what it is like to be in the middle of "the running of the bulls"....these 3 kittens run from one end of the house to the other all at the same time and we have all hardwood floors, therefore it sounds like the running of the bulls!!!! Here are a couple of updated pics....they still run when they see me holding a camera, other than that I am able to pick each up and love on them........the last pic is of one of Graycie's sisters.....Satie....doesn't she look like Grayce without the tuxedo markings......in the first 2 pics is Cassi on the left and Jif on the right, the 3rd is Cassi trying to get away from the camera and Satie is in the last one, all the old girls just had their 18th birthday last week.....

Wow, I didn't know they could live that long! Congrats and Happy birthday ladies, sounds as if they are still young at heart. Oh and stay out of the way of the 'horns' :-}

LOL!!! I have had them give me a bruise on the shin from their hard little noggins!! This isn't typical age for cats, but I think because they are strictly indoors and we get them what they need medically, that this crew is reaping the benefits of it agewise.....they also get a Vitamin B shot every other week and I believe that has helped keep them healthy.......
What do you feed them to keep them from getting fat?
And how is Sammi getting along with all his ladies?
We had siblings that lived 16 and 17 years, but they went outside and in, so they had fights and spats with other (bad) kitties. The main change we saw was less appetite and shorter escapades outside before they came back to the door and begged to come in. One got arthritis! My mother trained out cats to come in to the call "Shrimp." (At first they always got it; later they sometimes got it - the deveinings.)
It's nice that you have them so long and they stay young and healthy.

My husband loves training our cats. I showed him how with the last cat over 11 years ago and he has taken over from me. He He! I didn't realise either till the galah (pink & grey cockatoo) trained a cat not to chase caged birds and thought I would have a go at it too. Been training my cats ever since.
My mother trained the animals she had when she had the galah and the galah thought she would pass that on to my cat. It was so funny to watch.
I know I'd love to see a bird training a cat. That is too much. That would be great on a video! LOL

They are such beautiful ladies! Happy 18th Birthday! Just amazing and even Graycie is doing well after her big adventure! Praise God for the joy they have brought you, Vicki! And now your peanutbutter babies are thundering around the house - love, love, love them!

HA, Ha, they sure are, Jan.....I tell you, it amazes me every night that Graycie snuggles with me, that she is still with us. Not just because of her outdoor adventure, but then the thyroid thingy a year afterwards.......they are all hardy girls!

My two girls are photo hams. They will pose for a photo, but they are only young still and they also zoom at the speed of light all over the house. Will have to stop calling one an elephant as I found out yesterday that elephants are very quiet in their movements from a friend who has just returned from Africa.

We have one ham, Sammi.......he seems to want to get his pic taken....the others not so much.......Did not know that about elephants, although I am sure when they "stampede" they can be as noisy as our cats..LOL..

They are simply gorgeous Vicki and how wonderful that the "old girls" have lived so long. I love cats and dogs too for that fact, but we don't have either anymore. Love Chris

Are you being serious about 18th birthday, or is that in cat years? Either way, how special! Congratulations. Cats are fun on wood floors. What is even more fun is when they have those little "don't claw the couch" nail tips on, so they don't get traction. Enjoy your sweetie pies!!

I met some one with a 28 year old cat...
We trim their nails every other week, so they don't get much traction and you can almost hear the skidding sound a car makes when they go around the corner and their butt swings around...LOL! No, it is not cat years it is real time years........All 4 were former feral that we took care of since 4 months old and brought them in one at a time as we made room for each. Tuxie was the oldest when we brought her in...she was 10 yrs old...so they have such a good gene pool.....we never saw their momma again once she saw us taking care of them.

Congrats,,, Yes I have a herd of elephants with all the little ones running now. Who would think 2 pound kittens make so much noise. I have about 25 cats and kittens right now. Waiting for three to be fixed then 5 will go out to their new homes. Nursing a few back to health. One has a broken pelvis. 8 are too small yet they were born on Easter. Never a dull moment! Suzanne

You are so right, Suzanne......how is the little one doing with the broken pelvis? I still have 2 full toms and momma to trap......they just won't go into the darn carrier or humane trap.......ggggrrrr! We caught a raccoon though...LOL!
