I need ideas for the Cute Birthday gift. I can't make up my mind on what to do and time is running out! I have spent so much of my stitching time doing site work... Now, I need to spend some time and focus on the important stuff -- stitching! I am hoping everyone (even if you are not in the swap) will post a link here to their favorite design done by Ms. Veronika from Cute or one of the sister sites.

I will start with mine. I love flowers -- all flowers. My favorites are her roses!

A dishtowel or tea towel is always a good choice. Tote bags are a hit too as well as potholders. Hugs. Nan W

A lavender sachet with the beautiful forest flower font monogram would be very nice.

Excellent suggestion ymbuss! Thank you for the idea.

I loved the Christmasfont and have used it quite a lot. One of my favourites is the swans which I have used for several Anniversary and Wedding cards.
But there are so many more beautiful designs it is hard to choose!

I too love the roses, especially the yellow roses set but I am also attracted to the Floral Decor set and I just love the embossed alphabet sets, especially the swans,<br

in fact I like nearly all the alphabets and there are so many lovely single designs, it is difficult to choose just one. :-)

OH, I already wrote a list of project suggestions on Sue's "IDEAS PLEASE" post

I agree -- it is hard to choose just one! I do really like the yellow roses too. I stitched one out but I used purple hues instead of yellow. I loved the way it stitched out. We do have some wonderful designs to choose from. Thanks for your help!

Too difficult to say - I have a different favourite every time I look!

LOL, I thought I was the only fickle one!

I had that trouble too...but I settled on the roses. Not many can digitize roses and have them look so good.

Ahhh, remember...don't post your favorite design and then use it for your SS Birthday item...or you will be found out!!!

Yes, that is very true. But we should try to find their favorite design. Do you have a favorite?
by jrob 06 Jun 2014
Yes, this should serve as a suggestion only!

I thought figuring was part of the fun! I think I know who sent me my first SS gift.

This time frame sneaked up on me! I've so much here and lots of orders for Father's day, which was new for me to have so many. I like birds. My favorite are the more realistic ones, not so much the cartoonish. Oh, and no chickens. I had to help my aunts take care of chicken houses in the summers when I was a little girl (vacation???), so I'm pretty much over chickens.

I had chickens as a child -- I understand your excluding them. ;)
Time is flying for sure now! I am surprised we have so little time left. I do hope people remember the issues of the past where the mail was late and so because of that senders as well as recipients were sad.

mmm I like birds too, I was hoping for something in cranberry colour to match my "new" kitchen. I wonder what will come first the ss gift or my finished kitchen lol either way I'm sure I will be very happy with the both of them

I just received a PM...someone needs to find Western designs here on Cute. I do hope some of you can help a Cutie out!
PS it really is not me asking and no I won't give it away. ;)

Edit:
I found some, but they might be a stretch. The lasso font would be good though. The penguin cowboy might work too.

Western designs are going to be hard to come by here. There are some sheep, cows, horses but mostly cartoonish. The only thing I found that would possibly work are these Roosters from the Noah's Ark collection. They are quite beautiful, if that's what you like.
From Amazing Embroidery Designs for a cartoonish look there is a Pig Pack with a barn and some hay.

Wasn't there a blank mug rug in DBC??? Maybe some of you had downloaded it and forgotten but you could use that along with your favorite flower or bird design in your favorite colors to decorate the mug rug. Most of us can always use a mug rug! lol ( at least us chronic coffee drinkers!)

Thank you Meri. Do you have a favorite design here on Cute? One of the hardest parts of giving an embroidery gift is making sure you are doing a design they will love.
