Hi y’all! One post (“not sure who to blame”) has some how turned me into a birder. Maybe even a BOG (birder on the ground). I really enjoyed the Berry Eagles and found some near me in Colorado. A few days of watching I knew one of the eaglets was in trouble and sure enough passed away. On another popular can the nest crashed to the ground during a storm and 1 of the eaglets was rescued. There are web cams of barn owls who are a hoot!

I also found Red Tail Hawks (RTH) with 2 cams, 1 is on the Cornell campus, close to my hometown, and the other is on a cliff! There are also Heron Cams. These birds are so amazing and beautiful! I caught a few glimpses of the babies and now they are so big they do not fit in the nest! Last night I spent some time learning about blue jays with videos of a nest of 5. They stack pack and rack within 2 weeks of birth! I found a few people totally devoted to bird or animal watching through cams. I found chimney swifts which live in Colorado and need more attention. I have some of the materials to build a swift condo and hope to create one with my cousin who can do the cam. It also would be wonderful to have a scenic cam on the lake to watch these birds in action.
I also found inspiration in my own back yard. One day last week we had some thunder showers and a double rainbow. Right after that I saw 2 white birds with black feet fly right pass me, unfortunately I did not have a camera. I think these are doves, right?
I have to get back to spring cleaning, and getting a machine set up for the summer. I am hoping to have some semblance of order by Wednesday, I can’t wait to stitch that long, so I am setting up an ad hoc work station, I have to be careful as I do not want my machine to get sun damage. It has been a couple weeks and you know how we get without hearing that soothing sound of a machine stitching. I hope to catch more of your projects soon. I see amazing things from a many of you.
Wait I did not tell you what the amazing story of the day is. One of the RTH Red Tail Hawks fledgling was blown out of the nest the day before yesterday early in the morning. Yesterday it was on a ledge of the building nest to the field where the nest is. Last night it got into an oak tree and is still there. It has not eaten since it floated out of the nest. I wish I could post a pic, however you never know who owns it. Lol! Here are 2 live links that I am watching now.
