Hi everyone! Not sure when I last logged in. I was terribly sick with bronchitis for 6 weeks during March and April.. I barely touched my machine I have been very busy with my first granddaughter Emma Mae born May 14 8 lbs 12 oz 20 in. Mom has had problems nursing, but Emma is growing and back up to her birth weight last week. She is such a contented baby. I am busy sewing and taking classes at the sewing center where I purchased my machine. Also learning a method of quilting called Cotton Theory.

Sorry to hear you've been sick. Bronchitis keeps many unwell on a regular basis :( This little one is a way better excuse to be busy :) Having been a breastfeeding counsellor in the past, I understand that it offers challenges to lots of mothers -but well worth persisting with! I hope Emma continues to thrive and keep you entertained.

Thanks Chris. I will try to get on hear more often. When I was sick I did absolutely nothing. I am enjoying my retirement and love taking the classes. So much fun

Beautiful granddaughter, Cindy!! Congratulations! Glad you are feeling better with the bronchitis! It's tough, as I am feeling better today for the first time in three weeks after constant coughing, wheezing and congestion! Began to think, I was never going to get better, but I can see the horizon now! LOL

Hey, Cindy! I'm glad to see you back. This is quite a little beauty you have here. I'm glad you are feeling better and please come back and show us you Cotton Theory. I've been looking with interest at the Betty Cotton method, but haven't delved into it yet.

Thanks Mary. I am still kicking, but when I get bronchitis it takes so long to get over it. I have a new doctor and she has set up a regiment for me to follow when I have even a hint of a cold coming on. She is trying to prevent these severe episodes.

Loralye, Thank you so much. Cotton Theory is a method of quilting as you go. I will share my project after my next class. Emma is our 3rd grandchild but our first grand daughter. our little boys are 3 and 4..

Had trouble, too, long ago. Tell her from me: soups, stewed tomatoes, Jello, fruits that are high in liquid (cantaloupe, watermelon), and the thing that finally worked for me, drink when the baby drinks! A nice big glass of (tea, water, milk...) by the rocker.
