I have done a few, not applique, but same design + stippling idea, see picture But as long as DBC is not available I can't post them. Did the stippling in blue as in white it won't show in the picture.

I was playing with that leafy thing I used to demonstrate outlines, added a flower and came up with this - and then got carried away ... Well, you know how it is!
Love it yes this is more to my liking lol i am learning from my5d how to do the quilting .Hope i still remember lol

They are really cute Carolyn. Juju has a cute kitchen set I got awhile back on sale, it has a bag of flour, rolling pin, some kitchen words in it. It is darling and they have some cute hummingbirds, did you see any of those? I think the bird set I had gotten had mixed birds in it with hummingbird, owls if I remember correctly. There is an adult category, I'll share that link where you can find more, just in case you didn't see them.

I wish she had more than that though, I love lynnie pinnie designs too but a lot of those sites similar sure have tons of stuff for tots and not as much for us youngsters. lol!

If you are handy with editing with software, you could merge a design on top of the stippling. Then do a "mask." if you hide the threads on the top design, it will see where the stippling under the top design are. Then just select those threads and delete. Show the threads you have hidded and you will have "created" this kind of project. It's much easier to buy it with all the work done in the original digitizing, but if you have a project in mind that you really want to look like this, with a little time, you coud get the look you want.
