Hi
Happy dance! I've got a working camera! Today I finally got a working camera.
And after a very frustrating 2 days, my embroidery machine is up and running, too.
A while ago I mentioned the older machines that use outdated equipment which would result in problems should that equipment need replacement.
Well, my supplier gave me a VERY outdated card to use with my sewing machine, and this was in 2012! You needed a card reader from the late 90's or 2000/1 to read the card. Luckily I still had an old card reader.
Yesterday morning my card reader decided to just die. I first thought my computer was giving problems, and spend hours trying to fix that. Finally I simply had to believe the card reader was gone forever.
The modern card readers simply can not read that card. Fortunately I still had a Swift card reader from 2000. But... there are no drivers available for this card reader for Windows 7. Nothing. Nada. Zero. And I tried every where on the internet to find something.
And my embroidery machine refused to read my modern SD card. The card was not set up right, because the camera refused to read it, too. Luckily my son was in a helpful mood, and helped me late on Monday evening to set up the card for my machine to read.
So, at last I have a working camera and a working card for my embroidery machine.
Now I must just find the time to do the actual sewing....
This is why Carolyn helped me to test a few tags. Thanks again, Carolyn!
Have a fun day all of you!
This is the first picture I took with the borrowed camera.
