Each year when my hubby goes on a baseball trip with our older son, a couple friends come to sew with me. I prepare the projects, have them made up, & then teach them. They also bring things to share. It's a great time with friends of over 40 years. The aprons pull on over your head, so no trying to tie them behind your back. We love them! I'm the blond, the only one that still colors her hair! LOL. We made several projects plus 7 pillowcase dresses for Haiti.

Sew-sew sisters?
I like the sew sew sisters! Where were you when we were trying to think up a name! The settled on SIC...Sister in Christ. We met at church in Virginia many years ago...when none of us were grey OR fat!

I do love to do this. The gals drive 8 hours each to get here...one from Northern VA & the other from NC. We sew for 4 days!

So happy you have such good friends and can get together for a fun adventure. Love the apron, do the straps cross in back or how does this apron on if not by ties. Would love some info if you would care to share. :)

They do cross in the back. I bought the pattern at a quilt show a couple years ago. Called a "one Hour Apron" by Dottie Krueger and printed by Praise Publications 2010. That's about all I can find to tell you! It did take me more than one hour, however not a lot more. I think if you were to make a couple, you'd be able to do them in 1 hour as you got more at ease with it. There's a large double pocket on the front too.
Thank you for the information, I shall check this out to see if I can locate it. It really is a cute apron. :)
