Here is one I call Progression......I had text in it, but took it out of the design after the test stitch as it was too hard to see, so I took my black pen and tried to get rid of it but you can still see it a bit, so the design I have on my website does not have any text......am going to try to do more of these as I like the idea of seeing flowers in stages of growth......this won't be up until late tonight, Jim has a "sing out" out of town tonight and won't get home until late......

It is a longstanding tradition, flowers have been depicted like that for ages. Medieval drawings, artist on great expeditions that drew not only coastlines but exotic flowers from seeds to full bloom. And nowadays some seed and plant catalogs still use that kind of illustration.
I had a go at digitising a few drawings from "diary of a Victorian lady" for my own use. The original is over a hundred years old, the facsimile edition some 30 years, so most likely there are copyright issues. Alas my own drawing skills are a bit limited.
