Here was my project today....every year this client gives a gift to all her dancers, so I suggested this as in years past we did tshirts, hoodies and the like....she loved the idea and picked up a couple for me to test on and they turned out fantastic, so she will be bringing me 19 more...
My 16 needle handled these like a champ! No thread or needles issues either!

I like that Idea!! What did you use for Stabilizer?

I used a heavy tearaway and that is it....she got these chairs for $6.88 each and with the embroidery on them they are a very affordable gift with lots of impact.......
Well they sure don't look like a $6.88 chair now, a very nice gift. You should think about grabbing a few for future sales

Looks like you only needed 1 needle if you have the big bigga hoop!

Probably, but I sure am glad I had this one to do it on and not have to rely on the Bernina, that thing is so touchy it probably would have had a fit while it was stitching it.....

Really clever, I can hardly run a single needle and you can operate a 16 needle machine???? Wow am I behind the times. These chairs are so comfy, to. :)

Great job!!! Were you able to get the nylon off the back of the chair in order for you to hoop and stitch?? Most, that I have seen - they are attached to the frame? This is a great idea and my mind is running on this idea - I would like to give it a try!! Hugs, Laura*

Hi Laura......there are 2 screws on the back holding the material on, so I just unscrewed them and slipped the fabric off the back of the frame......I left the seat part attached and just used a little stool to sit the legs on while it stitched.....did not use a topping either, just a heavy tearaway for stabilizer.......
Thanks, Vicki. I appreciate all the info!! You are a gem!! Hugs, Laura*
My pleasure!

These are incredible Vicki - If I were to show these to my embroidery machine it would never work again!!!!

LOL, Sarah, I know I probably couldn't do them on my big Bernina either, just not cut out for commercial work on this level, although it should be!
