A special card.

A friend asked me if I could make her a special card for her son who has just finished training to be an actor. A fellow Cutie had just asked if anyone knew of a mask design and I saw the links and bought the design myself from Urban Threads. I adapted the stitching out a little by using gold for the ribbon. This made loads of extra work but the result was worth it. At the side of the sad mask there is a gap between the outline and the mask. This appears in the design and is not a stitch out fault of mine. My friend was delighted with her card and I was very pleased with it too. I did have a minor hitch as some of the double sided tape did not catch so I used some strong glue (I have done this trick before so I knew what I was doing) My dear other half suggested I hold the two edges together with some 'special' clips that he uses... I followed the 'expert' advice and was horrified to see that the right top of the card was marked by the dear little clips. So last night I had to carefully remove the gold card from the base, cut a new gold card and re glue the lot. Took ages but it had to be done. Thanks for looking and reading.

Your card is really beautiful. I make lots of 3D cards but have only made one with embroidery, I will surely be making more hoping they look as nice as yours.Well Done!

Thanks, I love making custom made cards with my machine. It usually takes as long to cut the card to the size needed and glue it all together. Great fun

façon très personnalisée de faire plaisir, car quand on fait une carte on pense à la personne; vos motifs sont très beaux et les coloris judicieux ;

Merci marijousette. I love making personalised cards. I too have sewn on paper but one has to choose the design carefully. I will try your way when I next sew on paper. Thanks
