I've been on a gardening jag this month, as I had many new daylilies to plant inside my rock walk/wall I built this spring. When my DH got home today at lunch, I was still outside planting. When I came in, he was surprised I had still been out there and told me it was 99 degrees. I sat very still for 30 minutes and tried to recoup. Wouldn't have been so worn out if he had not told me what temp I had been slinging dirt in! They are all done (82) except two in pots which may remain in pots a few weeks! I'm ready to stitch in the cool and look down on my beautiful gardens. It'll be like not working at all! I may stitch some flowers, however!
When I was little, my Mother got tired of my sister picking the first daffodils of spring and she "planted" silk ones in the bed and watched her come home from school and try to pick them!
