First day returning to sewing all day - REPORT: Last night I did a manicure and pedicure on my pitiful looking appendages (too much gardening) and today I have stitched out 10 bookmarks whilst attempting to straighten out the -ahem-, -uh- sewing room. It is now very late and I just looked at my hands. I might as well have gardened. They are pitiful, rough nails (2), picks, achy. I forgot how hard stitching can be on hands. And I did my first EVER bobbin slam tonight. Startling, but the machine and bobbin case survived - broke a needle. All in a day's work, no, fun!

Well, your pedicure wasn't wasted at least, unless you were using your feet, too! I'm impressed at all that you accomplished. Now that you have a nicely organized room it's time to start again.

OH, no! It's not reorganized. I just cleared reset the path through to the machine. Reorganized is going to take awhile. I've just been heaving things in there "for later", and oh, my, it is a disaster. But it's my disaster.

So that is why my nails are never pretty like those with no hobbies. Thanks for the lesson. hehe Your hands might not look like a model's hands but oh, will you bring smiles to the folks who will receive a pretty bookmark.

That is so right! All in a day's fun! bugs or mites eating the leaves of my pumpkin, cucumbers, peppers and marigolds! Blah! I do not have a working machine, and yes the fingernails are a mess from collecting dirt. I can't wear gloves picking some weeds.

i use dish soap and water to get rid of those bugs and it works here???
