She is well liked by all the Tom's...or one very active Tom! I am glad you got her taken care of before you had too many to deal with. You are wonderful to take care of God's furry babies like you do!

Oh, Vicki, I'm so supporting you, and the wonderful people you work with! I am so sorry for those babies, but they would most likely have been born anyway, and probably not lived, and momma cat might not have either. Producing so many kittens just saps all their strength, and then the kittens are not healthy, either. I think God sure did take care of her and you all, that could have been a disaster! You and the fur babies are always in my prayers, even if I don't say so. Thanks for doing what you all do to help the innocent ones who can't speak for themselves, and may you be blessed richly for it somehow. Hugs, Marji

So did you even know that she was pregnant? How sad that none of them made it, even though she was being fixed. My last cat kept getting out (she was supposed to be just an indoor kitty) and kept getting pregnant...with one kitten each time. Of course the kittens would grow to be enormous before we had to have her induced. It just about burst her to give birth to a kitten almost as big as she was. At the time, we had more love than money, so couldn't get her fixed. Now there are low cost clinics to prevent unwanted pregnancies. I live in the forest, and people used to dump their unwanted dogs and cats near here instead of being responsible. We had wild dog packs that were positively frightening. They would eat the cats. Thankfully Animal Control managed to round them up.

Mama will be so much healthier and happier now. No more worries. It is amazing to me the that they can get pregnant even though they are nursing. Glad you finally got her and helped her. Keep up the great work!

Hi Vicki, I know that had to upset you that she was pregnant, but you couldn't have known, and she couldn't have been healthy, nor those babies as she was still nursing and it was just too soon after these other kittens. You have really helped hers. You can't let yourself feel badly, don't do it. You have stopped a cycle with her, and now she can live the rest of her life healthily and kitten-free! So glad you are there to watch out for God's little critters! Love you!

Momma is now resting comfortably in her cage, when we went out to feed her this morning, she had eaten a large portion of her food and she was up in the hammock I made for our "guests" as I know they like being up higher and the hammock gives something soft against their wound.........

Just went out and gave momma some lunch and she hissed at me, this is the first normal "cat" thing I have seen her do, I imagine she is really PO'd with us right now........I know she will get better everyday.......

When we had to put our cat to sleep the vet asked about another one . i said not yet still to raw . he said don't worry the animal will come to you . Sure enough a few months later a puss bedraggled turned up on the doorstep . Animals seem to know who to choose when they need help . You do a wonderful job wish i could . But I would not be able to give them up . So sad that some people have no respect for anything. but themselves

Years ago my sister found a mama cat and her kittens under a step in her garage. just as she was giving the kittens away from the first litter a second litter arrived We found out they can get pregnant 10 days after they deliver. She ended up getting 4 of them and their mother fixed because she couldn't find homes for them she kept them as outdoor cats. They had a roof over their head and were well fed and cared for until they passed away .And even then she took them to the vet. The last one passed last year she was 20yrs old. Kittens and puppies need us they are not just play things that are cute for the moment they need us to feed them love them and train them( in the case of dogs) cats train us of course. You are doing a wonderful thing

I'm shocked that so many of you seem to have feral or unwanted cats around their homes these days. What a fantastic job many of you do for them. Do you live in a rural area, Vicki? We just don't see wandering cats much at all these days and even more rarely do we see wandering dogs, either. Our shire council has just brought in a 24/7 curfew for cats, meaning they are supposed to be confined to your property all of the time. There was a 6mnth period of leniency to give people time to modify their habitats etc. Many are not too happy about the rule. A lot of other places here already had that in place, especially if their area includes National Parks. You and others here do a wonderful job for the animals -pity it is so necessary!

Dang , your vet bill must be the roof !! Glad your husband is supportive. I love animals ,too!
