Have to share this pic with you all as most of you know Sammi and how spoiled he is and having some difficulties adapting to the new kittens.......does this explain how he feels about sharing his toy basket???? He doesn't even really fit, but is sure making his point...the kittens dump this basket several times a day to play with everything in it (for like 2 minutes), so guess he got tired of them messing with the toy basket!

The other pic is Skippy lounging around.....BTW, we let momma go around noon today and even though she ran she stopped and sat at the end of our yard and starred at us, then she saundered into the woods....

I'm here to advocate for Sammi. I remember when my 4 tear old scooped up most of his Legos and ran away from the baby. Same thing. Not ready to share, not gonna share, why did you DO this to me!

You have done well, kitty mama! I am not surprised Sammi is in the basket, after all all long as their whiskers fit -- they will fit!

Sammi is one smart kitty, knowing how to protect his toys. What a beautiful cat he is. Skippy sure knows the best place to rest his weary bones.

Karen, he is sometimes too smart and sometimes too stubborn, but we love him......

That is sooo funny! If I lay on them, YOU can't play with them!

That is so typical isn't it! Sammi's coat is so shiny and he and Skippy both look so contented. You'll have to share your diet with me Vicki, though it is difficult getting white cats coats to shine.
I have to tell you, every time I try to play with Tiddles, Tao attacks him and if Tiddles takes one of Tao's toys, Tao takes it from him, runs away with it in his mouth and hides it, so now Tiddles is doing the same thing with me and HIS toys. It's so hilarious to watch, as when I am out of the picture, they play together like brothers should.
I spend the best part of my day enjoying their antics so they are huge time wasters but they bring us so much pleasure.
Ray has even started picking each one up and giving them cuddles without me prompting him to do so. He never had pets when he was young and his first wife wouldn't let anyone have pets so he is only just learning how awesome it is watching kittens grow and develop their personalities and I can feel the change in him as he loses his heart to them. :-)

PS. So sad to read you had to let Momma cat go back to the woods, if I lived nearby I would have taken her for you as it must have been heartbreaking for you to make this choice.

It was certainly done with tears in our eyes......just couldn't keep her in the hot garage any longer, even though we had a fan going around her and the garage window open... I hope she sticks around so we can keep an eye on her and make sure she is well fed....

Oh, all the cats eat "Natural Balance" Limited Ingredients dry food and Pro Plan wet food.....The limited ingredients is because of Sammi's IBS, the vet is also amazed at his coat as he said normally an IBS cat will show it in an unkept looking coat......Tuxie is on Royal Canine Renal food which is prescription, but it must taste good cuz Sammi is always trying to eat it...I have to feed her on the shelf in my sewing room and she swats the dickens out of Sam when he tries to take a paw and grab a piece or two....never a dull moment, is there????

Don'cha just love 'em!!
I'll check out that Brand, I haven't seen it here but we do have Royal Canin and I think I have seen Pro-Plan. Spanky is on Science Diet CD prescription for bladder stones prevention, Mishka and Tidge were also on prescription KD and they loved Kangaroo mince which is really lean.
Tao is great, he eats everything and he has the constitution of an OX but Tiddles is proving to be a problem. He appears to have some sort of food intolerance that causes him problems and he isn't gaining weight the way he should be. It is a long slow process changing his diet to try and figure out the culprit but I am thinking more and more that it is an ingredient in the Science Diet Kitten, probably chicken or some grain. we'll just keep trying. :-)

He is beautiful. His coat is just so shiny. I am sure his nose is a little out of joint with the kittens. Hugs Sarah

Felines certainly can let you know by body language how they feel about what's going on around them. I love these pics. Sammi is getting the message out, THESE ARE MINE ! lol/ Lillian

He's punishing them!!!! And it's all YOUR fault, you brought those intruders in and they are disrupting his life...how dare you, mean momma! Reminds me of an older sibling, pouting and acting up because of a new baby... really, really cute.
Skippy says look deeply into my eyes while I hypnotize you! What do you feed him to give him alien eyes...It's a new food called flash! :-D
