I am usually very private... However, I wanted to share with you all today. It is birthday week at my house. My youngest sons are 1 year and 9 days apart. They are very much like twins! It was something of a miracle when I had them as I had trouble with pregnancies. They were both early and small. They both had breathing problems. They both stayed in NICU. My life was at risk both times.
I am thankful for them each day! They are both very healthy and happy boys! While the youngest is Autistic and that presents special challenges, they both enrich my life beyond what I can express!
Today was their combined birthday party with friends. It is the main reason I opened my SS gift and posted early. I have spent the day playing in the water with 8 children ages 9-11. I am worn out! I am also thankful for my boys.
I am also very thankful for the Cuties -- especially those that have shown great kindness to me. My sons will often read over my shoulder. They will comment to me about the posts they read and they too have found Cute friends here. They admire so many of you.
One friend sent postcards to them as a way of thanking them for sharing me with Cute. This act of kindness has touched my heart and I am so thankful for her and all my dear friends.
I am feeling very blessed today. I have wonderful friends all over the world! I have children that bless my life! I have a hobby that I enjoy -- life is grand!

What wonderful blessings you have. I too have 2 sons and they have been blessings to my husband and I. My oldest has some deafness and due to a vehicle accident some loss of vision. Challenges have been in the lives of both boys due to the vehicle accident. My boys are 43 and 39. No not boys, but always my boys. Take every minute you can with them for it goes much to fast. How touching this post is!! Our last 2 children are twin boys. My DH and I used to refer to them (only to each other) as the puppies. So sweet, always smiling - so happy to play. All four of our children are very special to us. So, I appreciate all you have written here. Aren't we blessed!! And, we are so lucky to have each other too!! The eldest of the two said, "dailylaundry sounds like someone I know" With all the children at home (four more + a couple of children from other parents) -- we were doing laundry around the clock until we got a huge front loading machine. I do understand your "name" and your joy!

Happy Birthday to your boys,love and xxx to them always,I hope that they enjoy their special day filled with love and many exciting memories to cherish, as i have three grown sons myself every day is a blessing with them. Although two are married one with two sons, now 5months and 3years, and another son going through ivf at the moment.With all my boys living some 6 hours from us is not so good. My fellow teacher who had twin sons told me they knew that when the Doxology would start in church, they knew what was coming. She was standing between them and reached for each one's hand and squeezed them while she sang. Praise God from whom ALL blessings flow.

How precious is this post Rescuer. We are staying at Dana and Jason's place whilst they are away on a 5 day break. I arrived here at 6.30am this morning!!!!! I've had a wonderful day, cleaning, sewing, washing and then met with Trevor (he had to go to work and then collected Ophelie from our other daughter) and we took all the kids to a local park.. We had icy poles, drinks, bread rolls to feed the seagulls and had a wonderful time kicking the footy around etc. Whilst we were preparing to leave the kids were all talking to a man on a park bench. As we approached him he said to us "Enjoy every minute of it, 'cause before you know it, you turn around and they're 40!" I told him we were very blessed with 7, but only get to see 5 of them most of the time and yes, I do treasure all of my time with them.
I was thrilled to read that your boys are so close in age, they'll grow up being great mates. Time does go by so fast especially these days - there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to achieve everything.

I am so glad you had such a lovely day with them and their friends. As my youngest turned 40 last month that type of birthday party is a thing of the past. I remember the fun and forgot the exhaustion.

Happy belated Birthday to your wonderful boys. I think children and grandchildren are the best thing God ever gave us. Everyday we talk to all three of our kids and ask how the grands are. That's what life is about, not the material things you can purchase, Here on Cute we are allow to share wonderful events in our lives just like the Rescuer did last July.
