TIP - I have always had a hard time removing all the tiny pieces of WSS from towels without pulling the threads of the towel. While still in the hoop lightly spray the design with water. Leave for a few seconds then rub a cotton wool bud over the wet WSS - comes off easily. I expect many of you do this already :))

I do that Sarah, works every time. Been sewing Angels (Sonia Showalters ones - I'm staying at Dana's whilst they are away - kids are in bed and I'm just about to go myself - 11.00pm here) and have one sitting near the hotplates on the oven drying. Love Chris

Ok I can not resist. I know cotton, I know wool and I know bud (mine is too big) but what is cotton wool bud?
Ahhhhh with the help of Google it is a Q-tip or cotton swap.

It was new to me too! Never heard of it that way before.
Neither had I, just love learning all this new terminology.
I think it just depends on what country you come from they have so many names and uses..

Deborah Jones advised placing a moist paper kitchen towel on top, leave for a few seconds then remove the towel and the remains of wss should have come off with it.
