While we await the last few Cute Birthday Exchange Gifts yet to arrive, I wondered if all of you who made gifts did something different to what you normally do? Don't be too specific, so we don't 'let the cat out of the bag'! I like exchanges to be a bit of a learning curve for me, plus it can help keep the Cute recipient guessing as to who sent to them :)

A great question. I am afraid that I cannot give out any other information except to say, yes I did something different.

Thanks Sarah. It crossed my mind that its often something different to what we'd do for ourselves when the Cutie concerned says what they'd like.

I have made this as a gift before , but decided on this because it fit into my swap partners preference

It is great when we are given ideas to choose from. Even a favourite colour is a bit of a help!

It is great fun to make something for someone else here who will appreciate what you have made. Having some information to work from is brilliant. Its always interesting to see how someone else interprets ones information

This swap was my first of many I hope so what I thought about stitching was made even harder by the amount of perfect designs miss veronica has put on this site, but I hope my recipiant like it as much as I did now I have to do one for myself (but won't post it in projects in case they work it out) all of the cuties are so good at guessing and working out who's who,,

I think of it a bit like food -always seems better when someone else cooks it! You are right -it pays to be very sneaky when trying to keep a secret from a fellow cutie!

I did not do something new as I prefer my gifts to be useful and I have several "go-to" projects. I often wonder how these terrifically talented designers/digitizers come up with new and innovative ideas. Hugs. Nan W

I did a first time project for my gift. Also a first time participant in the exchange. It was by observation that I came up with this project.

I did have a friend chose the best of 3 projects I made for my Cute sister. She picked the 2nd one and confirmed how to finish it off. I hope she likes it.
