Hi Cuties:

These quilt blocks were all done in wood, by my closest friends husband. He does awesome woodworking. I just had to share his handywork with you all.
Hugs

I would love to see it in real, but they live about 1 hour away from me now and I don't drive my car anymore. I can only imagine what it looks like in real. He does awesome work and is a perfectionist...it shows doesn't it.

I wish I could quilt like this in fabric and he has done it in wood.
by Leaha 04 Jul 2014
Do you quilt? if so you are way ahead of me, I am unable to see the blocks to make these shapes. I've tried to lay out a small piece and when I was done...oh my what a mess! :p

I am making my first large quilt. My oldest GD just graduated, so I am making her a Memory quilt with all her school pictures. I will post a picture when its done. I have made many baby quilts but this is my first large quilt. I will post a picture in Projects of what I have done so far. I got the idea from Googling quilt ideas and found a shadowbox snowman quilt and it was perfect.

Lovely inlay. Wood tones would be awesome in a quilt for a male, too.

Hi Jerri, this is beautiful wood parquetry work. Obviously a perfectionist as his piecing together is superb! Please pass on that I think it's wonderful. I've been quilting for 25 years and have done a few of the designs above. You are very lucky to have him as a friend. Love Chris

Thank you Chris. I will pass on all the comments posted to him. He is a perfectionist. I am so grateful that they came into my life. They have been the best friends to me and my kids through the years. We consider each other family, not friends.

What a wonderful labor of LOVE he created for his wife's sewing room wall. Hopefully you will get to see it in real life someday soon. I'm sure it is even more impressive in real life but on camera it is already looking magnificent!
