I do believe that breed of dog was bred to be extra special and found only in special courts of the emperor. Your dog knows its place indeed.

You are absolutely right Cathy - he is a pekingese. I believe that that the smaller ones were kept in the wide sleeves of the Emperors in China. They are not frightened of anything.
