Hi all........right now we are having a "polar vortex" cold snap........this is Graycie staying warm in her heated cup bed.......she crawled under the little fleece blanket I keep in it for her......looks like she is wearing a babushka....

She looks nice and snuggly, old cats just love being warm! It's raining here and cold for Newcastle - I've got two grand-children here - Ryke had a sore tummy and I always have Ophelie on a Wednesday. I'm baking lemon cake, lemon puddings and want to make a meat and vegie (left over roast from last night) pie! Once the Spiderman movie is over I'll get them to help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love Chris

I'd have a sore tummy also if I new grandma was making lemon cake and puddings...love lemon! :-) Hope he is feeling better.

Does she climb under the blanket by herself, or do you have to cover her up? It is close to 100 here, in the land without AC (I live in a very moderate climate). But the cat doesn't care. She climbs up on the black cars or lounges on the porch swing in the direct sun. I have never been able to get her to sleep in a bed designated for her though. She is a very strong minded individual.

Yes, Deanna, that be her!! She claws around at the fleece thingy until she gets a tunnel to go in to.......she is hilarious and I am sure she thinks she looks fabulous..LOL!
Oh, but she does!! She is beautiful!

Mom, YOU always do this; you know this isn't my best side...I've told you time and again. I'm loving this weather, if the farmers didn't need the hot summer days for a good crop this year, I'd vote for everyday like this. Hope she stays warm. :-}

She hasn't purred since her radioactive treatment on her thyroid....she does a "kinda" purr, but it is so low you have to put your hand on her throat to feel the vibrations....she used to be a loud & frequent purrer, I read that the thyroid treatment can sometimes take their voice but she meows just as loud and strong as when she was younger......
