Lately I have been spending most of my time feeding and caring for tiny baby kittens who were abandoned by the mother cat. Feedings every two hours with formula for kittens.

Yes, I rescue baby kittens, take care of them, have them vaccinated and spay neuter when old enough and find forever homes for them. A huge job time wise.

Oh those sweet babies. You are a blessing! Wish we could educate the public about responsible pet care so that they didn't need rescued in the first place. Thank you for your service.

Oh thank you so very much for doing all you can to help these sweet babies. You probably can't even sleep all night since they need feedings through the night. Thank you for saving them. God's little critters.

They need kitty milk formula every two hours...During the night I let them wake me up when it's time to bottle feed them....usually every 3 hours. I keep their kennel in my bedroom.....they sleep most of the time. There is a heating pad, turned on low, which keeps them warm...I check it constantly to be sure it isn't too hot. The heating pad is wrapped in a towel so it doesn't get too hot for them..

I've tried to reply several times, and I get a "query error" when I submit, and the whole thing is lost, and I get frustrated. I'll try again. Thanks so much for helping these little ones, they would have died without you. I know how hard it is, and I keep all you animal rescue folks at the top of my list of prayers. You care, and sacrifice your time and sleep and money to care for these innocents that some other "human's" (I use the word loosely) irresponsibility and non-caring in this throw-away disposable society caused to be produced. I treasure these little lives, and thanks to you I hope they will have happy ones in forever homes. But I truly wish the "humans" who owned their mother had had her spayed, so they would not have to be going through this, and so others could find homes and not be put to death because they're not adopted. Spay and neuter is the only answer. It's my soapbox, can you tell? Thank you so much for your kindness, you are in my good thoughts and prayers. Big hugs, Marji

I have volunteered for the DeSoto Animal Rescue Society, a non profit, no kill animal rescue. They are helping me get all the animals vetted and placed in (no-declawing) forever, loving homes. Yes it is an all day job because I have over 20 kitties to adopt out. They will all be fully vetted before being allowed to be adopted, also with a stipulation that if the animal does not work out for them, they must return it to us. After all of mine have been adopted, I will foster other animals they rescue. They have a beautiful website.... if you would like to see it go to www.desotoanimalrescue.org Bobbie

Thanks, Bobbie, I'll be sure to go to the site! I hope you all get the greatest blessings for the work you're doing on behalf of the little ones who have no voice or option in how they are treated or taken care of. You are all angels on earth for them. And I always pray that all rescue orgs like yours find people to donate the money or things you need to take care of these precious ones. So many people think you all get things for free, or get grants, or perhaps have a money tree--I know you don't.
by bobbies41 02 Aug 2014
You are so right....there is no money tree. I appreciate every bag of food or cat toy someone may give me.....mostly I have paid for everything.
