he is also alone and soon he will be very alone also with both children when i am no longer on this earht

It is indeed a terribly lonely feeling when everyone you grew up with and shared so many memories with are now gone. Please consider writing down some of your memories of your childhood while they are still fresh, even if no one else is interested in it except you; but I am sure your remaining family with whom you have acquired as an adult will be happy to read about you and your brothers when you were children. It's what my brother and I are doing now because we're the last ones of our generation. God Bless and Prayers for you and your family.

Aleene, I'm so glad you know the Lord. You know this is a separation for a time and you will see all our loved ones again. Do write your memories or make a scrapbook with pics and memories. It will be maybe sad as you write, but such a joy to have for "just you" later when you feel sad to leaf back through and smile again. I'm joining the prayer sisters in calling your name up to the Lord for strength and good memories during this time.

Aleene, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your older sibling. I have not lost one of my siblings as yet and am not quit sure how I will handle it. But, you are not alone. You have your hubby, children, nieces and nephew. I will try and remember that when I loose one of mine. I have 3 brothers, We have not always been close when we all left home. My 2 older brothers and I have become very close the past 4-5 years. I will keep you and yours in my prayers. Hugs....carol

Losing my younger brother was one of the most difficult losses I have experienced. He shared all of my history. He knew my childhood as only someone who had experienced it could have. You can only do it one day at a time or sometimes one hour or one minute. God will get you through and keep remembering that you have eternity and that your brother will be with you forever. Without faith I could not go on sometimes. It is my only sustaining light and my greatest joy. I will be sure and remember you in my talks with God, Aleene. It will take some time, but you will eventually be able to smile and remember the good times that you shared and the funny and heartwarming stories your brother created with his life. God bless you.

Dear Aleene, how comforting to have the Lord in your life and know that whenever you need him he is as close as a whisper (prayer) away. I pray that He will sustain you throughout the rest of your life and leave you with wonderful memories of your brothers.
