This is Sue Dewsbury's octagon mat which she so graciously let me have. Instead of wadding I used the silver coated fabric you used in pot holders and voila I have a nice hotpad for placement of hot dishes on table. I did make a mistake I did not tuck the last end in where it was suppose to be. Some of the fabric has a Fall design. Thought these would make nice gifts./Lillian

Lillianm what a great gift idea.... silver stuff is great too.
Can you tell me where the pattern is?
by bydiane 31 Aug 2014
Love this. I had seen this pattern a long time ago. Do you happen to know where I can get the pattern? I have a lot of scraps that need to be made into a great project. Thanks for your help.

Thank you Gerry, If you will let me know when you are in Huntsville, I will do my very best to get there and maybe we can have lunch one day. No promises because I never know from one day to the next how Ron is going to be. but son n law has a condo and works for NASA only coming home on Thur. nights and goes back Sun evening so I might could get over there one day/Lillian

I don't have this design, but was wondering how complicated it was to make. I don't see the mistake and it is good you put the reflective insulating padding.( I used it in my slipper boots I made to keep my feet warm-lol)

It's not that complicated but it's like Sue told me, "you've got to keep your wits about you when you're doing it. /Lillian
