Months ago I asked for info about if anyone knew of where to find patterns or ideas for clothes for someone who has rotator cuff surgery. My daughter had learned she was pregnant when she went in for the blood work for the surgery and her dr had her postpone the surgery..as it turned out for 16 months. Everyone that saw the pain she was in thought she would terminate the pregnancy. She wasn't allowed the meds to ease the pain due to her pregnancy. She is so glad she didn't listen to well meaning people. Baby Serenity is just the sweetest little girl. A photographer she knows wanted to use Serenity's picture for her FB cover and offered to do the pics for free. Serenity is such a blessing

There are actually 10 photos and it was hard to pick that is why I posted 2 instead of 1. It was funny. I had been searching the web for photographic props and saw some headbands similar to the on Serenity is wearing. Because of expenses from the accidents (some are $500 a month) and the other persons insurance stiopped paying for it, all my daughter could say was they were 'so expensive' the cheapest being $10. The next thing she knew the photographer that took pictures of Serenity's older sister made the offer to take pictures of baby. Memories my daughter couldn't afford and dearly admired.

Your daughter is already giving everything for her baby! It is not easy sometimes, but the rewards are immeasurable. You have a very strong daughter and an absolutely beautiful granddaughter!! She looks happy too, which is such a blessing. Congratulations. I hope your daughter's surgery has turned out very well, and she will be able to live pain-free.

I will do my final day of physical therapy tomorrow for a torn rotator cuff. I opted out of surgery because of a problem with my blood platelets, and chose therapy instead. When I started, I could hardly move my arm away from my waist where it rested. Now I can do "almost" all that I need, and will continue the exercises at home. It was painful, but I had steroid injection into joint to help. Did the doctors not suggest your daughter try therapy while she was pregnant? I can sympathize with her pain--clumsy me injured the other shoulder with resulting surgery, over 20 yrs ago--and I still remember the surgery & resulting pain. So I just figured pain is pain--whichever route I chose. Your grandaughter is beautiful and worth what it took to get her here!

Serenity is absolutely beautiful and a gift from God. From all the medical reports I've read I see they are having tremendous success with therapy for Rotator Cuff tears. I even understand, Mdcr and other Ins. Agencies are considering not paying for the surgery unless P.T. is tried first with poor results..I am so glad your daughter chose life for her beautiful little girl ,/Lillian

From all that pain came such beauty. Kudos to the photographer for his kindness and generosity and to your daughter for being Mom of a Lifetime.

The best things come in small packages. Hope she can now find relief for the rotator cuff. That in its self came be difficult. My husband had major rotator surgery this past dec. and still has not fully recovered. They say that it may be a year before he gets back to what he would expect to be.
