Help my computer is sick .I just did system restore and that won't even fix it.What next???:(:(i had trouble with my new lap top and the repair man From the company on line couldn't fix it.so it will be sent to them as soon as i get there box now my computer at home is sick

System Restore only works to remove programs and often will not fix virus or other issues.

Have you tried using Eset.com (the free scan)? Have it check for PUPs. Can your son help you at all?
i HAVEN'T ASKED YET CAUSE ITS TO LATE HERE TO GET YELLED AT:(:(I SCANNED IT AND ITS got no virus !!
it said it has an unspecified error during the restore #oxc0000022
Just making sure you used an online scanner -- not the one on your computer normally. If you do have a virus, your normal scanner will not see it as it would have caught it before.
Sorry he gets grumpy with you. Computers can be quite a challenge for sure. The error means the restore failed.

Carolyn I am sorry to hear that your computer is "SICK". I am of no help. As a matter of fact I am "SICK" myself with worry. I have just ordered a new computer, and it comes with Windows 8. I now have XP. I can only imagine that NONE of my old programs will work with it. I can see an expensive time comiing up. Wish me luck!!!!!!!!. Huugs Marg

check google for www.geeks.com. They come to you, no fix no cost. Get a quote they could probably start you on the right track so you can do it yourself

In windows 8 there is COMPATIBILITY MODE which I used successfully when I upgraded. Makes older programs work with Windows 8,

Oh my. This is why I don't want a newer computer. I might forget computer soon if I have a problem. Money is a problem here. So will just hold on and see. Hope you get things corrected soon. Let us know.

my lap top is being sent back to the factory and i may get a new one ,My home computer is ok now but i am having trouble downloading my 5d husqvarna program>:(:(i am at camp on my first computer i got 5 years ago and its fine

When fixed make sure you have a good anti virus and a malware software installed. Be sure and clean temp files and cookies regularly as they slow down machine.
