Well I haven't done much stitching. I did finish a summer top ( no emb) , just a cool one for hot days....

Over the weekend though, I did make cherry marmalade ( 6 pints), raspberry jam ( 7 pints ) and a few quarts of dill pickles...still have some brine for more when the latest shipment comes in from the Okanagan. I must admit that it does feel good to see the jars on my shelf in the pantry.
Hugs to all, Nadyne

You are very busy, I like it too to make jam from all my fruits in the garden. This way I know, that are only good fruits and not to much sugar in the jam. Actually I try a new receipt, greenapples with green pepper.

Yummy! I think the jams make up for the lack of stitching.

Wonderful, I always feel good about canning or freezing our foods, they taste so good in the winter months. :-)

It does feel good at the end of the day to have accomplished something, whether it is embroidery, canning, or just cleaning the house, doesn't it? I feel like that when I mop. No one else maybe sees a difference, but I know and it makes me feel good. I would like to have a taste of your marmalade and jam. I too have been canning. I put up 27 quarts of purple hull peas last week, only 2 qts of speckled butterbeans, 5 qts of okra and 9 qts of brown figs. (my grandson that just got married, just left with a jar of figs. They were still on my table, since I canned them yesterday. He said they still had some stawberry figs, but they didn't have any brown ones left. He said his wife had made the fig cake recipe that I gave her and used their figs, but the cake was good. If that was a hint it worked.-lol- Enjoy the 'fruits' of your labor-Toogie
