One of our sisters has a prayer request and needs to remain anonymous for obvious reasons. It is an urgent and needed request. Her son witnessed an act of violence. He is upset not only from having seen what happened, but also worried that there will be retaliation. The victim is alive right now, but they do not know if he will survive. Please make no efforts to come to conclusions about this situation. We have no way of knowing the reasons, involvement, or knowledge of any circumstances surrounding it.

Pray for the victim, that he will overcome his wounds. Pray for the perpetrator that he will be overcome with remorse and spend the rest of his life making attrition for this act. Pray for the young man who witnessed this awful scene and help him to find comfort and reason and give him peace again in his home. Pray for his family and the neighborhood where this happened.
Thank you so much!

Many prayers. Sometimes it is hard to not wish our minds were like a chalkboard where things could easily be erased, brains do not work that way, so we must work hard to try to find ways to use the negative things we experience in life to somehow use those negative things and use them in positive ways, so that at least, some good, came from a terrible thing that should never have happened in the first place. Huge hugs to all concerned.

Dear Jerrilyn, I'm so sorry to read about this dreadful event. I pray that all the innocent concerned will receive God's grace and compassion and I pray that the perpetrator, as you say, is filled with remorse. Love and blessings Chris

I am sad to report that the victim did not survive. Remember his family as they say goodbye to a son, brother, grandson, cousin. May they be willing for God to fill them with unnatural forgiveness and peace that can come only from Him.

Thank you for the update. The news is very sad indeed. My prayers for all involved in this continue.
I do hope they will be able to forgive as it will only destroy their own lives if they do not. It will mean nothing to the perpetrator except that he will have successfully destroyed more than one life. That is not something they should give him the chance to do. May they find peace and may the witness and his family be protected.
