Hi gals, I can't believe it's November. I've been doing bits and pieces of sewing, mainly things for my church. They always seem to find things for me to do, he he he.
My shoulder (Bursitis) is still giving me beans, so I'm taking it easy. Trev bought me a MENDABLE massage arm band which can also be put on your knee. It gives out 42C heat, rhythmic compression and 60hz vibration. It is helping, but I still may have to go and have another Cortisone injection. It's just from wear and tear and getting older!
It was so lovely to be able to get back on here and see some of the familiar avatars. Can't believe how I've missed "seeing" what everyone is doing.
Mum passed away on the 15th December 2024 after a long battle with Dementia. It was a very hard time for me and therefore I hadn't done much sewing. Time heals and I although I miss her so much, I'm glad she has gone to glory.
As I said previously all the grand children are growing up and all but 2 of them are taller than me, but that's easy as I'm only 5'2"!! Our son Ben's eldest boy Cooper turns 17 tomorrow (5th November) and will go for his P's (Provisional Licence). He's chafing at the bit, so to speak, to get a car!
Ben remarried this year in April and we had just a family affair with 30 guests up at our best friend's place in the Hunter Valley. It was a perfect day and everyone had a fabulous time. Ben and Mia went to Spain, Portugal and Italy for 3 weeks and loved every minute of it. Ben's other 2 boys Chase 13 (November 22nd) and Cohen12 (in February) will be here tonight for dinner. Ben gets his boys on alternate Wednesdays for 3 hours and alternate weekends. He just started a new job this year and is loving it.
Dana is an assistant Vice Principal for Stage 2 at the Valentine Primary School and is as busy as ever. At the moment she is up to her eyeballs in getting her class school reports done for end of year. Then she has to get the other 2 classes done as well before they are sent to the Head Mistress for her comments. I have the utmost respect for all school teachers. Her children are now Ryke nearly 21 in February and he is an Electrical Engineer, Jasana 19 and she is going off to TAFE next year to study Event Management and Aqualina 16 who left school this February is working at a local Chemist, at her Father's company and part-time at Dana's school learning Business administration.
Amy's girls Ophelie 16 is in Year 10 and has just sat her exams. She said she wasn't happy with her Maths and Science exams, so she will just have to wait till the end of the year to find out how she went. Delphi 13 is in Year 7 (first year high school) and is doing exceptionally well. Amy is now a Senior accountant at her firm and Steve is in Real Estate.
Well I hope everyone is well and I look forward to seeing what everyone is sewing. Love Chris
