7/31/14 Today I had a fresh idea! I took an old full-length denim dress that buttons down the front (with really great looking metal buttons) and cut it up to make ditty bags (calling them gunny sacks for boys). I stitched tractors on them. I cut the dress horizontally, in thirds, so that I have three gunny sacks that button up near the top (that was the fresh idea), with only a design to stich and two side seams to sew per bag!

Sounds like a great idea to me and good job recycling or up cycling...whichever it is.

I do a lot of recycling, learned it from my Dad, although he would not have thought of himself as being Green! He was just extremely careful with resources.

No camera with posting ability. No, it's more of a grab bag! The ones without buttons, from the back of the dress with be closed with shoe strings.

I love the idea. And if we don't have a dress, we might be able to find one at a thrift store.
