Just had a sneak peek at the new Bernina E16 and it looks identical to my Melco, right down to the coloring....it is my understanding (from my Melco dealer) that Bernina bought Melco, so it would figure they would put their name on the Melco 16 needle......I hope they continue to put quality into the machine now that it has the Bernina name.....I bought the Melco because it was made in the USA, now with Bernina in charge of it, who knows......just an FYI for those of you who are looking for a 16 needle........

a wish!!
Yeah, free is always a good price.......it was made in Colorado and hopefully still is..........when I bought the Melco the dealer told me about the Bernina purchase when she came out to train me........I was complaining to her about my Bernina and how unreliable it was and that Bernina support was non existant and then she dropped the bomb on me that Bernina had just purchased Melco....figures!!

It seems natural that Bernina would want to add on to their business. What better way than to buy a business with an existing customer base. I too do not get the best service from Bernina shops. Don't know why that is.

Isn't it disgusting, Penny??? You spend a fortune and then after the sale....you are on your own......and forget about trying to contact Bernina, they will only talk to retail stores..GGRRR!
