Our neighboring town just got it's first police dog. Sew, I am blessed to be able to sew for him. Such a huge honor. I will be giving His Officer Handler this beautiful paw photo frame. It was stitched on genuine leather. The back has a pocket to slip his photo inside. This is the officers first police dog assignment, so I wanted to make something memorable. I chose the colors of his beautiful coat of fur. I hope it is received well!

This design is from embroidery Garden. They suggest using felt but I think the leather just kicks it up a notch!
Yes, the leather is awesome! Great idea for baby photos - use white or neutral leather and maybe a Christmas applique - tree ornament. Thanks for helping me think of this! I have a family member who works with a canine partner and it is awesome.

My son has a $5,000 dollar police dog that he got for free from his fellow officers because the dog would not kill .He is huge as most are .They will love your gift hugs

Such a thoughtful gift and I am sure the Officer/Handler will love it. I have made several of these ornaments using felt - but never even thought about using the leather or adding the year. I love the way your ornament looks and will definitely try it your way when I make some more this Christmas.

This will be displayed with pride. Fabulous work on it. I have a soft heart for our working dogs. They serve so loyally and have saved many people and officers in the police force and with the military.
