Okay. I just wanted to introduce myself: I am Tieya and I am brand new to machine embroidery. I just bought my topaz 30 about a month and a half ago. I love it with their designs, but I wanted to branch out and am having a lot of trouble with that.
I bought a pattern that I wanted to use, I put it onto the USB stick given with the machine and I can't seem to get any of the patterns to work. I did notice someone saying that it only works with .vp3 and needing to convert since the pattern I have is only .hus and .vip. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this?

Welcome to Cute, there will allways some body which can help you. I have another machine, but I use Embird (not free) or another free converter as in the link.

Not the answer to your questions, but there is a Yahoo group for Topaz. I joined for the designs, but mostly they seemed totalk about solutions to little glitch problems they were having with their machines, so I opted out of the group. Good info there for you.

Welcome Tieya! May I suggest you D/ L the free conversion software by Tajima? It will change your designs to vp3 format. I have read of having to format the memory stick in some machines...do you have a manual that might tell you? The conversion software is easy to use...I've had it in my computer for yrs and love it. MY EDITOR is another free converter, but I don't think it includes vp3.

I have the Husqvarna Topaz 30 and can confirm that it recognises the .vp3 format only. I use the basic Embird embroidery program to convert other formats to .vp3 (except from .art format).

P.S.: Embird actually can convert from .art, .artV1 and artV2 (I don't know V3 etc), but cannot convert the recent versions like V50, V60.
