We have something similar here in S. Africa but the 'pink' is a pale brown. I am afraid they are not my best as they eat all my plants!!

Doesn't look like he'd be too hard to miss. No camouflage, unless you have blue and orange plants? :-)
High color usually means poisonous, but I guess those arent'? Very bright little grasshopper!

We have green, different shades of brown and yellow and tan but have never seen one with pink on it and I have been in over half of the states in the USA.

Hmmm...my color must be off-it looks for light tan than pink to me and I have seen something similar before. I do remember when I was in San Angelo TX tho-they had huge bright green ones-almost like a lime green-did NOT like them at all-if the landed on you, you definitely felt it!

eeks, the main reason I will never go to Texas!
It was a nice place to visit but northern NY state has always been home and as Dorothy said-"there's no place like home". My husband is retiring in November and he wants to travel for a few weeks down south to visit his family relatives in North Carolina maybe farther-I said fine, as long as we still call NY home :)
I also saw a huge one in Texas many years when it flew into my car and landed on the dash. It looked like it dared me to do anything about it, too!
I was born and raised upstate. Love everything except the humidity. Now I live in the desert and use a evaporative cooler. Lol!

Our neighbors guineas eats ours, and that makes me very happy! Seems like every summer they are so bad. This year we have 6 guineas who skirt our neck of the woods.
