My beautiful sewing ladies group recently went on a 4-day Quilting Retreat.....

It was just absolutely fabulous and so, so relaxing.

This is the sewing group I 'hang out' with. An extraordinary bunch of ladies who I used to work with at one time or other over the years. We all discovered that we had a common interest after I took a quilt to work I was making for my mum - nonna57 - when she had cancer.

We are fondly known as the JEMMMS girls, each letter for our first initials...we have been together 8 years meeting monthly on a Saturday rotating at each others homes.

I love and adore these girls to bits and we decided to go on a Quilting Retreat and sew, laugh, cry and give hugs for 4 days straight.

We loved this retreat so much we have booked for next year!!! Every girl should have a holiday with their girlfriends!! 🎀💄💎

(Sorry about all the photos, I just couldn't resist sharing!!)

Wow! Tell us the name and location of this facility. Some of us might want to plan to go there. Planned with women in mind!

Its in Warwick Queensland Australia, called Glenrose Cottages. Absolutely stunning and for 4 days it cost us $190 each....for the whole 4 days accomodation, use of the workroom and everything in it, brekky each morning, morniing tea on arrival AND wine and chees at 5pm on day 1. Incredible is all I can say!!!

How beautiful Jules - I'd love to go to one of those quilting workshops. Although I've been quilting for nearly 30 years there's always something new to learn. Love Chris

Well, Chris, we could do a Qld / NSW combined retreat one year. Maximum of 8 allowed at any one time. You, mum, Meg, me, and maybe my 2 sisters?? Now there is an idea worth thinking about!! You, mum and Meg could drive up and meet me and my sisters for a week long retreat....there you go, already planned all we need is a date!!! 😝

We LOVE seeing pictures and what our Cuties are doing. It looks like all of you had such a wonderful time and what beautiful completed (that should be in all caps) projects! Nothing like a group of like minded friends to make memories with.

All your projects are so pretty. I know the ladies with the big quilt couldn't have completed in 4 days, did they? Such a nice place to relax.I could use a vacation like this! (Don't worry about the photos,I love them.)-Toogie

No, they were UFOs but largely unfinished. Marg (pink quilt) has an uncanny ability to just 'whip up' things so quickly she always surprises us. It was super relaxing. Glad you love the photos Toogie!

Yes, very good for the soul....getting away from our hectic everyday lives, no TV, phoning our better halves at night only and just being with each other....

Oh I so would love to do such an adventure. I would even be willing to host such an event (maybe when I get my new house). I think retreats are good for the soul, brain, body and heart,.

So happy for you, looks like fun was on the daily menu as well as everything else,
