Look at the help I had with the prayer quilt for Grace! Avery missed school Friday, and she loves to be in the sewing room and listening to the machines. She 'helped' with the embroidering. Miss Nora "helped " sew the pillowcase up. I must say, with so much help, I did manage to match the trim at the side seams fairly even.-LOL- Caution: Creative minds working, please excuse mess-Toogie-Update on Grace Sunday morning 08/31/14- Grace has developed a brain infection. I found this out after church this morning. That's all I know. I am sure they have started antibotics but may find out more tonight. I will let you know as things progress.-Toogie

This is such a worthwhile project Toogie and I pray that the recipient loves it as much as what you have put into it. It was wonderful to have such willing helpers as Avery and Nora there. Love Chris

Thanks Chris. When my daughter asked the grandmother what were Graces' likes and why she wanted to know, the grandmother was very touched. Besides her 4 cats she likes soccer. Luckily I had cat fabric on hand, but no soccer.

I told Nora's dad, I want Nora to learn sewing, because my oldest daughter is the only one who does sew, and not often. He totally agrees. He is so supportive and encouraging, of my sewing and embroidery.

Thanks for prayers for Grace. Nora does show interest. She also found/likes my pins, so now I will have to keep a closer eye out. Avery laughs when she has been listening so intently, and the machine picks up speed. It surprises her. She loves the sewing room and I have no doubt, she would have been a sewer.

Dangers alright...Nora found my straight pins with the pretty yellow balls on top! I will have to keep an eagels eye on her and move them well away, when she is here.

Now that is a wonderful day! Forget the mess. Who cares about it when you are giving so much to two very special grandchildren.

That's what I think Karen,( but I knew you couldn't help noticing). I do have to straighten up in here, just haven't had enough hours in my day, lately. Doesn't Nora look like she will be interested? I hope she learns.

I do want Nora to love the arts. She has shown interest in music too so we need to develope and encourage her in both these arts. I know she is too young now but she does show interest. Thank you for looking and your kind words.-Toogie

I hope Nora does Suzanne! They both like to come in here. Avery likes the sounds and Nora likes the gadgets. Those little fingers like to pick up, so I have to watch her closely..... When Lanie, my older g-daughter was little, she used to spend time with me in my sewing room. She would sit on the floor with my nippers and thread clippings that are in the metal cans, just reclipping threads to her hearts content. Well one day my daughter Marsha called. She asked if Lanie had been in my SR and if I had let her used my scissors. I said no scissors, just nippers. She proceeded to inform me Lanie had got her scissors and cut her daddy's new shirt, her child recliner arm and her bedskirt! She wanted to blame me so, I calmly replied, she ought to put her scissors where Lanie couldn't reach them.-LOL- Lanie was a climber and she climbed up and got them, because she knew where they were kept.
