I want to show you, my daughter sent this, in a text to me last night. It is Nora, my youngest grand-daughter. My SIL's aunt painted it and I just love it! Although, I don't know if I have seen her too many times, with her hair out of her face-lol-2nd photo is one from her birthday I had, so you could compare.

Adorable! Great artist but a sweet happy little model as well.
And you are a lucky grandmother, dear Toogie!

I am and so very thankful! She did do a great job and although I have met her several times, I didn't know she had this talent. She is a professional interior designer/decorator and has her own business.

This is the only side photo that I had of her, for you to compare. I am in awe of anyone who can draw or paint, as I can't draw a straight line. I'm glad you enjoyed the photos.
That's alright toogie, little Miss Nora hasn't a straight line on her little self. ;-P

This is strikingly beautiful, a treasure for forever. I hope your SIL's aunt sticks around a long time and continues to paint. She's very good.

I think she's good too. My coworker paints but she says portraits are to difficult for her . Coworker has even done very large, background baptistery scenes.

How gorgeous, what a talent, I'd love to be able to paint portraits! Beautiful picture of Nora and her mummy? (I hope it's her mum) Love Chris

Yes, Chris this is Ashley her mom and this was the afternoon of Nora's b-day. It was hot out. My coworker says the same, she would love to paint faces and she does paint. I don't know if a could paint a room - lol

Everyone one should have a full frontal face, and both sides in case of an accident or mishap and reconstructive surgery needs to be done. It saves the plastic surgeon a lot of grief and heartache and the family gets their loved one returned as normal as possible. It also makes it easier for the victim to overcome and process the events.
She is gorgeous and looks real in the painting. :-)

Leaha, that's the kind of surgery Grace is undergoing today, along with bone reconstruction. One side of her face was crushed. They are hoping after surgery, her sight will come....Before surgery, her dad asked her if she knew the 'peace' sign, she showed him the sign with her fingers.............waiting to hear.

I think Aunt Karen did an amazing job! She is the aunt that wanted Nora to wear her white gown, bonnet, shoes, her mom made her.(I posted photos one time,in Projects, I believe.) Nora is named after Karen's mom, Elanora, and Karen had no children. She has done a beautiful likeness of Nora. Thanks for looking.-T
